Mansión Palmar A quiet spectrum of beige

living and dinnig room renovation Mansión in Palm Mar, Tenerife
In this home renovation, I was commissioned to redesign the living and dining areas to infuse a deeper sense of serenity throughout the space. The guiding concept was calmness and togetherness, expressed through a palette of different shades of beige—a subtle and harmonious range that soothes the soul and creates an atmosphere of peace.
At the heart of the living room, a water vapor fireplace adds a cozy, inviting focal point, offering the gentle ambiance of flames without the need for a traditional hearth. The sofa was carefully configured to embrace large, multigenerational family gatherings, offering ample space and comfort for everyone during holiday stays.
The television is discreetly hidden behind custom-made panels of whitewashed ash wood, allowing the family to choose between a media-focused evening or an unplugged, serene environment. These panels add both beauty and functionality, blending seamlessly with the overall design.
The dining area features a generous rustic wooden table—sincere in its materiality and spirit—that can be extended to host between 8 and 12 guests. Above it hang elegant crystal pendant lamps, designed to accompany long, heartfelt family dinners. Matching chairs complete the setting, chosen to harmonize with the warmth of the space.
A cozy coffee nook offers a perfect spot to relax and watch the children play, nestled thoughtfully between different zones of the home. Heavy curtains frame the windows, not only softening the look of the room but also serving as excellent acoustic absorbers and light regulators, giving the family full control over the mood of the space.
This project is a celebration of family, stillness, and the beauty of thoughtful design.
