Casa Galería Art, Light and Belonging

Casa Galería Art, Light and Belonging

This single-storey family home was designed as a harmonious dialogue between architecture, art, and everyday life. Elevated slightly above street level, the house presents a calm yet striking presence, marked by a grand wooden gate that offers a warm and elegant welcome.

At the core of the project lies an unexpected and defining feature: a double-height entrance conceived as an art gallery. With a ceiling height of 3.92 meters and a vast picture window, this space is not just a foyer, but a luminous canvas that celebrates the owner's art collection. It offers a moment of pause, a transition from the outside world into a place of reflection and beauty.

From the gallery, the house opens into a sequence of spaces centered around a lush interior patio—a green heart that brings light and life into the home. A covered walkway wraps around it, allowing for seamless movement between rooms while offering protection from sun and rain.

The living areas flow openly: a warm and inviting kitchen, dining and living room, designed for gathering. Soft materials, full-height wooden doors, and natural finishes add texture and tranquility to the atmosphere, grounding the contemporary design in warmth.

Private areas include two generous principal bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, opening onto the central patio, while two additional guest suites—created for family visiting from abroad—face a quiet rear garden and are accessed through a side, covered corridor. Each space is designed with privacy, comfort, and a connection to nature in mind.

This is a home where art greets you at the door, where light is carefully choreographed, and where architecture gently serves the rhythm of daily life.
